DeepSeek PC: keep chats in separate tabs without mix-ups (2026)
On DeepSeek desktop, long reasoning threads and short rewrite jobs should not share one scroll history. Open a fresh chat tab when the goal changes.
Name the tab by outcome: “export markdown”, “API error paste”, “R1 plan only”. That makes it obvious which window to close after you copy the answer.
If the client feels slow, close idle tabs first—especially ones that still stream R1 tokens—before reinstalling or clearing cache.
Keep one pinned tab for “scratch prompts” and never paste secrets there. Use a dedicated tab for anything that touches API keys or private docs.
When you come back tomorrow, archive or delete finished tabs so yesterday’s half answers do not contaminate today’s search in history.
